The New Moon in Sagittarius
November 22nd
Bye, bye, baby, it's been a sweet love, yeah,
Though this feeling I can't change.
But please don't take it so badly,
'Cause Lord knows I'm to blame.
But if I stayed here with you,
Things just couldn't be the same.
'Cause I'm as free as a bird now,
And this bird you'll never change
Lord knows, I can't change.
Lord, help me, I can't change.
Won't you fly high, free bird, yeah?
We could all use a break from the dark clutches of the Scorpio underworld. The New Moon in Sagittarius is just the Rx. The dark and narrow confines of relentless obsession and fixation are giving way to the promised rebirth. Yes, you can now safely free yourself from any limiting attachments, beliefs, relationships or other rusty attachments. Sadge is all about the open road, the friendly skies, the wisdom and the "you've got to be kidding me" truth serum. Hopefully we can laugh at the ridiculous ways we may have been grasping on to people, places or things that were insanely poisonous or toxic for us while the Scorpio planets were taking over our psyches. We're now shaking our heads in disbelief: what was it that I was so certain I would die without? If you're not there yet, allow this New Moon to take you there.
The killer Scorpio planetary pileup was not for the faint of heart, so consider this movement into the wild unknown a break from the darkness, even if just a tiny glimmer at this point. Unleash your inner gypsy and truth seeker to free your ego from pain, blame and heartache. Wild horses can and finally will drag us away after hanging on for dear life. We are raring to blaze new territory with maximum horsepower (pun intended). We’ve wallowed, dwelled and lingered in our emotional depths long enough! Now the New Moon is asking us for the big dreams, the great expanse, the true gamble. How can we truly “break on through to the other side" ala iconic Sadge (Jim Morrison). Sagittarian energy is sassy, fiery and to the point. The current Neptune squaring of this New Moon could trigger some disillusionment or glamour depending on how you work the rose-colored glasses.
Sadges shoot straight like an arrow, a refreshing shift after the Scorpio complexity. They know exactly what they want and use their boundless positivity and enthusiasm to get it. There’s a smoldering energy to this hopeful and spirited New Moon. Sagittarius is decadent to begin with but now that the ruling planet (Jupiter) is in Leo about to station retrograde in a few weeks, our inner rock star could be ready to party like it's 2015. Too many months of serious swamplands, and it's time to burn this mother up! We’re ready for some inspirational fire and the feeling that anything’s possible if only we have the guts to believe it. Sagittarius is the sign that sees the glass as half full, even if it’s actually 2/3 empty. Can you muster this kind of radical faith in what has not yet manifested? Sagittarius is also the sign of alchemy asking us to turn the dross into something as gorgeous and miraculous as a rainbow (another fave Sadge symbol).
Use this New Moon to burn, purify, regain your spirit and fly like the free and unfettered creature you were born to be! Work your higher truth. Aim high, wish well, believe big. Dreams can and will come true if your faith and spirit insist on maximum luminosity. That might sound like a tall, Polly-Anna-worthy platitude but try it under this New Moon and see if something outrageously miraculous doesn’t come to fruition in the next six months.
