Today's New Moon Solar Eclipse in Taurus prepares us to face off with the dark waters of Saturn in Scorpio: enter the power struggle between our creative and destructive instincts. Both Scorpio and Taurus crave stability and security, only Scorpio has a way of tearing things down in the effort to create the kind of lasting support that is unbreakable. Taurus prefers to remain in the comfort of known terrain. These fixed and passionate polarities can thrash and pull us apart at the seams as we struggle to find the beauty and familiarity of supportive and stable ground against the more emotional and turbulent underworld of Scorpio. How can we make space for both of these energies to exist within our psyches without driving us to the brink? To honor the Taurus side of the equation, it’s important to nurture our physical bodies and opt for routines, food and grounding sources that nourish us on a deep level. Taurus reminds us to slow down and listen. Beauty is the reason for being alive as far as Taurus is concerned. It wants to excavate all that is potentially flimsy in order to find the kind of solid and lasting source. If we’re willing to delve deep into our own psychic muck, and bust through our comfort zones we can honor the Scorpio side of the sea-saw.
We are destroying the unreal in order to create more of the real in our lives. Ask yourself where you need to go deeper in order to find more beauty and solid ground in your life. Don’t be afraid to enter the darkness now.
