The planet of power and deep evolutionary transformation is getting ready to come out of retrograde in the sign of Capricorn yet again. Today's shift is especially powerful as it coincides with the Autumnal Equinox. The need to balance the light with the dark takes on new psychological meaning now that Pluto's alchemical magic is part of the equalizing equation. We’ve had a chance to work on yet another level of revision of our lessons that began in 2008 and we still have until 2023 to get to the bottom of our relationship with the sign of Capricorn and all areas of our horoscope undergoing this fifteen-year renovation. This just goes to show how long deep and lasting change actually takes. Pluto deals with the deep shadow work and the ongoing Grand Cardinal Cross has brought this evolutionary push to a greater level consciousness. It's like there's no choice but to bring the darkness to light lest we suffer another major personal or collective calamity.
Look to where you have Capricorn or Saturn in your horoscope to see where you are being summoned to undergo this long-term excavation project in your psyche. Next look back at all of the lessons around structure, discipline and power that have taken place since Pluto went retrograde in April. Now is your chance to put those lessons to the test in the outer world over the next six months. In general, we get to spend half the year working on the inner lessons of Pluto’s underwold in order to apply those deep, dark lessons in the outer world during the other six months. Important questions to ask during this transition are: Where is the power center or source in your life? What shadow energies need attention? Where have you given your power away? How could you strengthen your integrity? Where does your career need more attention? What patriarchal energies in your life are working against you? This is an important time to look to where you may need to work on the rules and limits you set for yourself and others in order to strengthen the moral fabric of your life, especially in the area of your horoscope where Capricorn dominates. Pluto and Saturn continue to be in mutual reception until the end of the year, so use this potent influence to inspire one of deepest transformations of any remaining skeletons, insecurities and fears that hold you back from your true power source of love.
