About the workshops

Poetry to the Siren Workshop

In this workshhop, we'll invoke our inner Siren through meditation, poetry prompts, guided imagery, sketch/drawing, collage and movement.

Invoking the Priestess and Akashic Soul Records:

Deepening our connection the third eye, our dreams, and the 12th house of our horoscope, we have access to our soul records and karmic lessons. Through guided mediation, Tarot, active imagination and automatic writing practices, we'll open the channel to what our souls are co-creating with us in this very incarnation.

Polarity Healing and Esoteric Anatomy:

In this workshop, we'll explore the connectionb between our sublte bodies, our horoscopes and the path to bridging the mind-body connection through the subtle reals and nadis (subtle channels) of the body.

The Victim--Perpetrator Workshop

As we meet in the season of Virgo-Pisces, these archetypal themes are extremely resonant. Both live inside of us and we often toggle between both in all of our relationships. Through Drama therapy techniques and journaling, we'll unwind these patterns and bring this powerful inner polemic (tug-of-war) into consciousness. This in turn will empower us and heal our most intimate relationships both past, present and future.

Movement, Meditation and Mantras

With a combination of authentic movment as meditation, mantra chanting and other ritual elements will will move through the subtle and emotional bodies to unleash our unconscious and heighten our connection to the Divine and our creativity.

Jungian Journaling, Active Imagination and Dreamwork Practices with the MOON tarot card for the Pisces Full Moon Season.

Sherene will share tools for remembering, recording and working with your dreams as portals to the language of your unconscious. We'll be meeting under the very auspicious Full Moon in the sign of dreams, Pisces to help us unlock our imaginations and access to psychic downloads, omens and messages on a daily and nightly basis. We'll also delve into the archetypal language in our horoscopes as a tool for decoding our dream symbols based on our own inner archetypal lanaguge.

Sherene Vismaya

Sherene Vismaya, M.A. is a Jungian astrologer and psychoanalyst in private practice in NYC and San Francisco for the past eighteen years consulting, writing and teaching. Her own Priestess Path started around age five bellydancing on the road with her mother which brought her into contact with the powers of ritual and an embodied relationship to the Goddess. She specializes in depression, shadow work, anxiety, creative blocks, eating disorders, and relationships. Sherene has pioneered her own unique approach to Jungian and somatic healing modalities combined with her background in metaphysics inspired by her yearly pilgrimages to India.

She is the author of several books including collaborations on: Speculation Now; Transpersonal Astrology: Explorations at the Frontier, & Surviving Saturn's Return (McGrawHill), Dog Stars, and Fate of your Date.

She holds a Master's Degree from New York University in Clinical Psychology, a Masters in Developmental Psychology from Pace University and post-graduate work in psychoanalytic studies from The New School and ISAP, Zurich. She has been the resident astrologer for Elle Magazine for the past decade. Sherene teaches classes and workshops internationally.
