The Gathering —

The Leela Palace, Bangalore,
The Garden City

We enter thru Bangalore, the Garden City, for a soft landing at the iconic Leela Palace. We meet one another, unpack what we carried here, literally and metaphorically. Amidst the beauty and grandeur of The Leela, astrology and journaling open the space. Spa treatments, lush gardens, and fabulous meals facilitate our inward journey.

The
Threshold —

Vembanad Lake

We land in Kerala. Between touch-down and check-in, we christen our visit to God's own country with a tour of the iconic Kerala backwaters. A private houseboat takes us for a leisurely lunchtime cruise, where the onboard chef prepares specialty local cuisine while we take in the lush coconut palms, paddy fields, and daily village life.

The Descent —

Sreemoolavasam Wellness Retreat

Five nights at a 450-year-old ayurvedic heritage home, carrying a direct lineage to Sree Narayana Guru. This is where the retreat holds its center of gravity. Ayurvedic treatment works slowly on the body, undoing what needs undoing. Alongside it, the deeper psychological work begins, the kind Sherene is known for. In Jungian terms, this is the underworld: not a place of despair, but the place where old patterns finally meet the light, and where something in you is allowed, at last, to dissolve.

A day trip to Amma's ashram at Amritapuri may be folded in here too, a chance to sit beside the water in the presence of a very different kind of devotion.

The Surfacing —

The Leela Palace, Kovalam, Arabian Sea

We close where the land runs out. A clubhouse retreat space set directly on the Arabian Sea becomes our final container, the place where integration happens. What was released in Sreemoolavasam finds new form here. What dissolved finds new life. Navajivana, after all, means exactly that.
