Ever since 2020 turned our outer and inner reality completely upside down, many of us have been wandering between realms rethinking the true purpose and calling of our lives. We know we cannot go back to what was and yet we're not quite sure exactly where we're being redirected. The times call for a deep reexamination whether our lives have been  truly in alignment with the soul's deeper calling.

Some questions that have inspired this journey:

Have we been putting off our Path? Are we doing our soul work or wasting time on endless distractions, reels and endless procrastination? Do we truly feel fulfilled or have we been settling? Are we working to live or living to work ? Why do we keep hitting the same blocks and reliving the same patterns over and over despite our best intentions? 

What is the purpose of this incarnation? What truly gives my life meaning? What do I want to focus on before I die? What is my soul and unconscious unfolding and longing to become, share, give, experience, realize, accomplish, complete before my time is up? 

 

In Eastern philosophy, one's true Path, higher calling or divine destiny is called your Svadharma which can be eloquently decoded via a deep analysis of your horoscope.

The Path is something many of us forget to even consider as we just repeat the same wake up, eat, do the things, make the money, pay the bills, scroll, gossip, look for love in all the wrong places, rinse-repeat.

So what does it even mean to find the Path? Walk the Path? Not veer from the Path? What is our true Path? How do we know when we're on it or when we've gone astray? These are just some of the questions we'll be living over 40 days and 40 nights!

Finding one's true path is about overcoming the limitations of the ego's fear, guilt and shame tactics are a major obstacle to spiritual growth and authenticity. other obstacles include the mind's tendency to compare-despair, compete or worry too much about what others think, brood over the past or worry about the future. the path is the road to finding true balance and equilibrium no matter which stage of the road we are on.

 


We start our 40 day Jungian Alchemical Journaling + Ritual intensive on Monday, May 15th with an Opening Ceremony and special dedicated planetary puja from the Kali Temple to remove obstacles and shower infinite blessings on our path.

Sherene Vismaya, M.A. is a Jungian psychoanalyst, astrologer and author who specializes in the intersection of depth psychology and astrology. She is the founder of Project 40, an online community devoted to Jungian Alchemy and the path of Individuation and the author of several books, including Speculation Now; Transpersonal Astrology: Explorations at the Frontier, & Surviving Saturn's Return (McGrawHill), Dog Stars (Penguin) and Fate of your Date (Chronicle Books). She holds a Master's Degree from New York University in Clinical Psychology, a Masters in Developmental Psychology from Pace University and post-graduate work in psychoanalytic studies from The New School and ISAP, Zurich.   She has been the Resident astrologer for ElleUK since 2005. 

Her work explores the ways in which astrology can be used as a tool for growth, self-discovery and healing. She specializes in depression, addiction, creative blocks and anxiety. She draws upon the principles of Jungian psychology, somatic healing and Eastern spirituality to  help individuals connect with their authentic selves to achiever a greater sense of wholeness. She has been a psychoanalyst and practioner of astrology for twenty-five years and has lectured and taught at conferences and institutes around the world.
