Shame is a soul eating emotion as Jung said. This Venus Rx in the sign that gives us the personal power to transmute fear, guilt and shame will reveal where we've been bound by old stories. The soul teaches in retrospect which is why even the planets go over old ground in their retrograde motion cycles. This one is dancing with Pluto to bring in the deepest shadow work with Venus and our relationships to lovers, money, career and our entire value system. 

Through a series of archetypal prompts, we enter into a dialogue with the unconscious to reveal which pieces from the past still have a hold on us for better or worse. We can build on the strengths of our past. We can let go of the weaknesses, self-defeating patterns and fears by making them conscious. We will also tap into pieces of the relationship story that hold the keys to what the Self is up to in this lifetime.

What are the recurring themes, patterns, and highlights in our personal narrative? Which reiterations, projections and relationship patterns with lovers, friends, family, partners, colleagues, our children, and most importantly with our Self-Dialogue? On the path to Self-Knowledge, entering into a deep dialogue with the Self and those key intersections between the divine and human, those numinous moments in our life that have a way of defining our love stories and what and where our psyche tends to dwell and from where it sources in order to recreate  throughout the cycles of our life.

Sherene Vismaya, M.A. is an astrologer, psychoanalyst and mystic in private practice in NYC and San Francisco and currently India for the past 22 years consulting, writing and teaching. She's been the Resident Astrologer for Elle UK since 2005, creator of Constellation Magazine and author of several books. She specializes in depression, shadow work, anxiety, creative blocks, eating disorders, and relationships. Sherene has pioneered her own unique approach to Jungian and somatic healing modalities combined with her background in metaphysics inspired by her yearly pilgrimages to India. 

She is the author/ co-author of several books including Speculation Now; Transpersonal Astrology: Explorations at the Frontier, & Surviving Saturn's Return (McGrawHill), Dog Stars (Penguin) and Fate of your Date (Chronicle Books). She holds a Master's Degree from New York University in Clinical Psychology, a Masters in Developmental Psychology from Pace University and post-graduate work in psychoanalytic studies from The New School and ISAP, Zurich.  Sherene teaches classes and workshops internationally.

 

Katelan V. Foisy is a visual artist, writer, and occultist who specializes in vintage style mixed media art and photography. Her illustrations are featured in the Sibyls Oraculum with Tayannah McQuillar, Inner Traditions/Simon & Schuster 2018. Chaos of the Third Mind with Vanessa Sinclair is set for 2020 from Fulgar Ltd, UK.  Her art is featured in William Patrick Corgan's solo album Ogilala, merchandise for the tour, and backdrops as well as Smashing Pumpkins Shiny & Oh So Bright tour.

She has displayed at The Worcester Art Museum, Ohio History Museum, Mae West Fest, Last Rites, MODA, Museum of Contemporary Art DC, as well as the A&D gallery in London. Katelan's illustration clients have included, The Grammy Awards, Howling Wolves Wine, Saturn Sisters, Kim Boekbinder, O'death, Gabby Young & Other Animals, Out Magazine, The Progressive, Scholastic, and many others.  Her paintings have graced the walls of Young & Rubicam, Que4 Radio, and the stage of  Ensemble Studio Theater. Her short films were shown at the Avant-garde Film sessions at the Cinémathèque Française on "Romani Cinema". A program curated by Nicole Brenez and Jonathan Larcher.

Katelan has been featured in NY Times, Elle Magazine, GQ Italy, Paper Magazine, VICE,and Time Out NY and on WGN for her work as an artist, occultist, and gallery curation.

She has read at the London National Poetry Society, and presented with Atlas Obscura, hosted salons at NYC's Science House,  flash gigs with OVADA in Oxford, and speaks at Pratt Institute regularly on illustration and promotion.  Katelan has written for Motherboard/VICE,  Electric Literature, Luna Luna, ERIS Magazine,  Fenris Wolf, and COILHOUSE. 

An occultist with over 20 years experience, Katelan is often called on by companies such as BBC America, Swarovski and the CFDA to participate as a trusted reader for large events. She resides in Chicago and travels regularly.
