Aries:

We have not had a Full Moon on Xmas in 38 years! The combination of a sensitive-nostalgic-hyper-feeling-family issues-moody, moody, moody Full Moon and perhaps one of the most emotionally loaded holidays of the year coinciding on the same day must give the Goddess a good giggle. Aaand that’s the key— to keep our wits about us, seeing all of this as a divine cosmic play (at least until we get to the other side of holiday madness). It doesn’t have to be all tears and ODing on eggnog to escape any unwanted emotional scenes, either. There’s no short supply of self-help tools and resources out there these days. We just have to remember to use them rather than defaulting to our chosen reaction of choice. Cancer helps us get back in touch with our gut level feelings and attune to what’s most nurturing both in what and how we give and receive. Instead of “What would Jesus do?” we’re thinking, “What would a good mother do?” this Xmas. (No religious offence intended). The point is to be a good mother to yourself and those around you.  The nostalgic piece can have us missing family or cherishing our clan. But getting hung up on the past is like "hugging a corpse" as Amma says. It's important to allow ourselves to feel all of it, but then let it go.

We’re balancing out the Capricorn polarity where Mercury has been brewing up quite a mental storm for us with recent aspects to Pluto and Uranus (which are still in pretty tight friction even if not by exact degree). Shadow issues refuse to remain hidden from the light. Integrity is do or die in all matters, big and small!

There’s a healing-breakthrough potential to this Full Moon compliments of a supportive role by the compassionate waters of Neptune plus the revolutionary and rebellious rabble-rousing twist of Uranus going Direct in Aries. You’ll totally be able to hold your own AND deal with the family drama (or lack of family). Uranus in Aries reminds us of the fabulousness of our individuation potential and independence. We’ll feel this energy even more fiercely once Mars gets out of the more accommodating, and “other-oriented” atmosphere of Libra and into stealth and resourceful Scorpio.

The Moon is in her very own sign and thus “at home” in the sign of Cancer. This could help bring our psyches more in touch with the Nodes of the Moon now as they traverse the Virgo-Pisces polarity, respectively. The North Node in the sign of the magical “Hermit” is pulling us towards greater self-reflection, self-care, self-reliance and daily rituals of healing and wellness. We need our routines. We need to ourselves for a bit in order to release the South Node in Pisces mergers and addictions we have based on our deepest abandonment fears and projecting our God-Goddess stuff on other humans. South Node in Pisces is helping us dissolve oceans of disillusionment, phobias, fears and paranoid projections (but could feel like a “why has Thou forsaken me” soul drowning in the process). The only way out is through this lunar intensity. Mars in Scorpio awaits you just on the other side of 2016. The planets are readying for the deepest transformation and diehard discipline of our lives. The shallow end breeds poison in 2016.
