Venus is a planet that inspires love, charm, beauty, happiness, luxury, romance, physical attraction, creativity, art, and appreciation for aesthetics and the highest expressions in the material world. 

We'll devote this day to the healing power of beauty and all things Venus including the blessings and mantras of Goddess Lakshmi, for prosperity and blessings both spiritually and materially. We'll delve into our relationship to beauty, vanity, relationships, and attachments and the shadow aspects of Venus explored through the myth of Inanna.

 

DAY TWO:
TIME IS GOD
SATURDAY NOV. 2nd

Myth:  The Greatness of Saturn

Saturn is a planet that teaches us introversion, patience, reverence, awareness, compassion, practicality, respect for time, usefulness, hard work, humbleness, kindness, simplicity, and how to be alone.

We'll devote today's workshops to Kali mantras, and her deep Dark Goddess teachings to heal mother wounds and strengthen our relationship to the Divine Feminine. Saturn supports our inward journey with wisdom on time, death, and the power of simplicity and wisdom in the famous Saturn remedy, "The Greatness of Saturn." We'll also explore our relationship to time, procrastination, understanding depression as part of the creative cycle, and life's inevitable sorrows as soul medicine.

The Sun is the primary luminary of our solar system and endows us with vitality, strength, radiance, self-confidence, charisma, light, power, discipline and a strong will. 

In today's workshops, we'll tend to the Father wound and its inherent relationship to creativity, self-expression, health, and confidence in the world.

Through stories of Lord Rama and Apollo as the surrogate Father archetype, symbol of creativity for Chiron in our horoscopes. We'll explore the power of Surya Namaskar, chants to Lord Rama and our creativity. 

 

 

 

DAY FOUR: 
GROW GLOW GO
MONDAY NOV. 4th

Myth:  Little Fatima with the Moon Forehead

The Moon is our mind, our emotions, and our ever-changing moods. The Moon is our Mother, our sensitivity, our gut feelings, and our deep, private nocturnal, mysterious, and ultimate feminine qualities.

We'll devote our workshops today to meditation, stilling the mind and exploring the Moon in our horoscope as our minds, chanting the protective mantras of Shiva and Chandra Ma, and delving into our relationships to our personal mother and the Divine Mother or Great Mother.


 

DAY FIVE: 
THE HERO / HEROINE'S JOURNEY
TUESDAY NOV. 5th

Myth:  Bluebeard

Mars, Mangal in Sanskrit, is our auspicious protector. He gives us the drive, ambition, courage, and fire to stand up and fight for what is right,  take necessary action, protect ourselves and our loved ones, take risks, be physically active and strong, and embrace our masculine qualities. When this energy is unconscious or our instincts are damaged, we may turn our anger inward and get depressed. Finding a healthy expression of our inner masculine energy is essential.

We'll devote today's workshops to the exploration and teaching inherent in the powerful Bluebeard myth for shadow aspects of the inner masculine or Mars energies in our psyches. 

 


 

DAY SIX: 
MAGICAL MYSTERY TOUR
WEDNESDAY NOV. 6th

Mercury is our quick-silver, magician with the unique ability to traverse hell and back unscathed. He rules all communication, "both-and" thinking, and business acumen. He is forever curious and open-minded. He guides us through transitions and keeps us light, flexible, and fast on our feet.

We'll devote today's workshops to chanting mantras for Krishna, visiting the Krishna temple, and exploring the transitions, thresholds and crossroads in our lives. Through the myth of Perspehone we'll understand why Mercury's role in our horoscope and psyches plays a pivotal role in navigating the ongoing transition between the upper and lower realms.  

 

 

DAY SEVEN: 
DREAM ON
THURSDAY NOV. 7th

Myth:  The Juniper Tree

Jupiter is the planet of abundance, wisdom, expansion, foreign travel, higher teachings, gurus, the Akashic realm, rainbows, and good men like ideal teachers, counselors, healers, father figures, children, and husbands. He is our highest inner teacher. He is our intuition. He brings all the blessings and miracles in our lives. 

We'll devote today's workshop to Jungian Active Imagination, Inner Guide practices to strengthen the dialogue with the Inner World, intuition, and the power of envisioning, imagining, and dreaming your life into your dream life.

FANTASY ISLAND

The North Node of the Moon, or Rahu is related to our most dangerous desires, obsessions, confusion, illusion, and delusions but can also be the most dynamic, innovative, experimental, and exciting energy if we don't let it possess us.

In today's workshop, we'll focus on the root of our greatest desires, obsessions, projections, and addictions and how they are not only the source our current karmic script but it is said that Rahu's placement in our horoscope was the root cause of our rebirth in this lifetime. We'll chant protective and empowering Durga mantras and delve deeply into understanding how we completely lose our heads when Rahu eclipses our psyches.

 

 

 

 

 

DAY NINE: 
LETTING GO

The South Node of the Moon, Ketu teaches us to let go, dissolve, and detach. It takes things away to show us the difference between the eternal and the ephemeral. What we have left is what we hold fast and finally cling to in our souls when all is said and done.

In today's workshop, we'll chant to Lord Ganesh to help remove obstacles in our Path. Through shared stories of love, loss and letting go, we'll return to where we started with our Inanna myth and the reclamation of the Inner Queen. Sherene Vismaya

Sherene Vismaya, M.A. is a Jungian astrologer and psychoanalyst in private practice in NYC,  San Francisco, and India for the past twenty-five years consulting, writing, and teaching. She has led retreats internationally including Pari, Italy, Paris, France, Marrakech, Ana Capri, Tulum, Switzerland, and New York.

 Sherene specializes in depression, shadow work, anxiety, creative blocks, eating disorders, and relationships. Sherene has pioneered her unique approach to Jungian and somatic healing modalities combined with her background in metaphysics inspired by her yearly pilgrimages to India since the 90s.

She is the author of several books including collaborations on: Speculation Now; Transpersonal Astrology: Explorations at the Frontier, & Surviving Saturn's Return (McGraw-Hill), Dog Stars, and Fate of your Date.

She holds a Master's Degree from New York University in Clinical Psychology, an M.A. in Developmental Psychology from Pace University, and post-graduate work in psychoanalytic studies from The New School and ISAP, Zurich. She has been the resident astrologer for Elle Magazine for the past decade. Sherene has been teaching classes and workshops internationally for the past 25 years.
