Freedom is not doing whatever we want, but really wanting to do what we must.-Nietzsche
Sagittarius Full Moon Part II:
June 20th, 2016(Look to where 29 degrees Sag-Gem-Virgo-Pisces falls in your horoscope for arenas of greatest change).
*disclaimer: Sagittarius Full Moons bring out the preacher in all of us so please forgive any pushy lingo ahead of time.
Hope can be a powerful force. Maybe there's no actual magic in it, but when you know what you hope for most and hold it like a light within you, you can make things happen, almost like magic.” ― Laini Taylor
This Full Moon + Summer Solstice is like someone shining a gigantic spotlight on every half-baked truth still lurking in the recesses of our unconscious and collective unconscious. Like why are guns still legal after countless tragedies that could have been prevented? The Full Moon falls at the very last degree of Sagittarius, AKA the nowhere to run and hide degree. It's called "Mula" as in Muladhara or the "root" chakra as the 19th lunar mansion in Vedic Astrology. It's where we insist on getting to the very bottom of things. We're fed up. We want to uproot all of the BS and start again. We long to rekindle our faith in the face of so much collective chaos and darkness.
In this way there arises a consciousness which is no longer imprisoned in the petty, over sensitive, personal world of the ego, but participates freely in the wider world of objective interests. The widened consciousness is no longer that touchy, egotistical bundle of personal wishes, fears, hopes, and ambitions which always has to be compensated or corrected by unconscious counter-tendencies; instead it is a function of relationship to the world of objects bringing the individual into absolute, binding, and indissoluble communion with the world at large.–Carl G. Jung (1916/1928/1935). The relations between the ego and the unconscious.
This upcoming Full Moon on Monday is a time when polarities get extremely exaggerated. The Sun and the Moon are not only in total opposite signs of the zodiac but they are falling at the every last degree of Gemini and Sagittarius which is also known as the Galactic Plane. It's like a portal for very intense energies to come through and uproot our negative tendencies and lack of consciousness. Many creation and destruction stories are born from these stars. The Summer Solstice and a Full Moon on the Galactic Plane converging on the exact same day --this is not an ordinary June Full Moon to be sure. No wonder our psyches are getting stretched beyond the maximum capacity. Sometimes too much light is too painful. The birth of a new consciousness can hurt like hell and feel like such a rude awakening from our old comfort zones, even the ones that were killing us. It's like wanting to crawl back into the womb, even though it was cramped and ridiculously limited in scope, coming out into the fluorescent lights of "reality" isn't always a picnic either.
We need the balance between the light and darkness, the night and the day. Like the High Priestess, the Goddess who sits serenely between the two realms, the two pillars of Dark and Light....Can we find this same space of equilibrium? Holding the tension of the opposites? Not praising one while condemning the other?
Nearly every problem in life can be solved by inhaling and exhaling…with awareness.—Buddha
It's a glaring reminder of the urgency to take our meds before someone gets hurt. Ideally in 2016, the meds would include first and foremost some form of meditation, deep breathing and journaling. We’re forced to confront our own paradoxical nature as well as our dualities and contradictions--as painful as it is. Where do we say one thing and do another? Where do we talk out of both sides of our mouth and still feel clueless about where the real truth resides? You know those conversations or emails you have with an ex where you end up trying to love and hurt at the same time. That’s where Sadge comes in: we are forced to confront the cross your heart and swear to die level of truth and uproot the contradictions. A famous alchemy quote about truth (Sadge is the archetype of alchemy as well) says it all:
But the truth is that from which nothing can be missing, to which nothing can be added, nay more, to which nothing can be opposed.--Dorn
Confronting inconvenient truths and nixing convenient lies. Write down the three biggest lies you are still telling yourself or others about yourself? And then ask yourself what it will take to change your story. This is an excellent time to monitor current self-talk. If it includes any of the following: ugly, fat, stupid, lazy, or loser—take Lotus pose or Savasana at once! We can’t afford to keep running the same self-abusive thought patterns and expect our relationships, health and lives to flourish. Gemini-Sagittarius archetypes remind us of the power of words and intentions. It’s not just what you say—it’s the thought and more importantly the energy of the intention behind the thought that leads to the words spoken. And the words lead to the actions that create the karmic seeds for the next round on life’s great Wheel of Fortune.
Trying to control the mind is like trying to dry out the ocean or catch the wind. --Amma
ALL OVER THE MAP:
Feeling more distracted and scattered than you ever thought humanly possible?

There was a time when we loved people and used machines…now we love machines and use people.—Amma
I don’t know about you, but my brain is starting to organize itself in hashtags. Cannot even begin to describe the agony and anguish that is going into forcing myself not to just turn this into a quick fix Instagram photo, status update or 5 Tweets (which would probably be the smarter idea considering there may only be a handful of people left on this earth with the attention span to actually focus for an entire paragraph and they probably aren’t following, liking or thumbs-uping.)
This Full Moon highlights how the immediacy and boundary-exempt reality that our high tech world provides has paradoxically ripped away our ability to be present, focus and appreciate that the good things in life take time. As Ammachi says: If we try to force open a flower before its time to blossom, we will destroy all the fragrance. And the same happens when we lose patience for the process and kill all the beauty because we reverted again to iCrack urgency mode and couldn’t download the app or the relationship fast enough.
Look around and see how easily people channel the Dark Lord the second the speed of the Wifi connection slows down or they have to wait for their side of Stevia. And if you really want to witness a demonic possession—disconnect someone’s modem, or put them on hold for more than 50 seconds.
NO DOUBT:
Three D’s that destroy us when we stop evolving: Doubt, Depression and DenialThey kill our ability to trust ourselves, trust life and trust that actually everything is going to be all right. Sagittarius is the sign of faith, optimism and truth. When we go into doubting mode, what happens? We run around collecting second opinions, abusing our oracles and going into feedback overload in a vain attempt to alleviate our fears. We don’t trust and we begin a frantic search for the answer out there. We revert to our Gemini minds looking for the immediacy of reassuring sound bytes the mind can attach to. This is when we need to sit down, stop running at the Gemini mouth, power off the gadgets and ground back into the body. Mantras and affirmations are excellent to replace negative mind grooves. Actually many of us have mantras already that we’re using but sadly they are more like the rants of an abusive partner beating us down to make sure we’ll never leave them, or some insane preacher speaking in tongues.
CHANGE THE CHANNEL:We easily become our mental habits. What is the story you tell yourself? Where do you spend most of your mental energy? What do you regularly obsess about? Just a little time of sitting in meditation will reveal the answers to these questions. And most importantly what feelings are you avoiding by obsessing about something else?In one of my favorite meditation classes, the Swami said that the moment we start to think our spine bends (let alone the now classic hunchback texting body posture). Sagittarius is about expanding our mindset. Opening the mind is easier said than done which is why Sagittarius is associated with travel. By changing the details of our daily routine, we can change our thinking. Childhood wounds play a huge part in the negative side of the drama we create in our mind and spin out into our reality. Look to where you keep recreating the same scenarios that only serve to reinforce limiting beliefs about yourself and the world.
MIND MAINTENANCE:
Since Sagittarius is literally associated with gurus, please indulge my Guru quoting bender here. Amma also says we need alarms of awareness and discrimination before negative thoughts have a chance to destroy us. Especially anger. When we’re angry we release poisonous vibrations into our cells and the atmosphere. After a huge fight, doesn’t your body feel like it’s suddenly contracted every form of Cancer and autoimmune disorder known to humankind?
TRICKSTER TRAPS:
The trickster is making several appearances compliments of the Sun, Mercury, and Venus in Gemini (until Friday) and the North Node and Jupiter in Virgo ruled by Mercury. Words can be mighty tricky, so try to see beyond all of the details and get back to the bigger truth, bigger picture. Don't believe the gossip or buy into the cheap version of the story. Sadge says we must do the research. Words are the swords in the Tarot for good reason. They can easily harm, distract and put us in the defense zone. Marianne Williamson has a teaching on this too. When we feel we need to defend something we give it power and make it more real than if we had ignored it altogether. Just let it go. The other teaching is: Do you want to be right or do you want to be happy?
Jupiter & The Wheel of Fortune:
Sagittarius is ruled by the planet Jupiter and is associated with the Wheel of Fortune archetype in Tarot. While we're still riding the wheel of Samsara, if we hold fast to the center we can avoid the feeling of getting dragged through the inevitable ups and downs of karmic cycles like a dead animal stuck to the rubber of the tire instead of the "Ramble on" like a good Led Zepplin song, in the center of the hub approach.
Sagittarius is the big-breakthrough sign. Sadgies likes everything super-sized. This is the second Full Moon in Sagittarius for 2016 and since Saturn also rules this domain there are huge philosophical themes and teaching to be had. Embrace those moments of killer self-realization and unexpected fortune. The Fortune archetype says: If miracles aren’t happening in your life, something is wrong. What does fortune mean to you? What’s standing in the way? Make a list of all of the mental obstacles and obstructions that prevent you from believing that something miraculously huge could happen in your life. And then keep your eyes open for unexpected gifts and possibilities. Speak your peace. When you own your truth, there is no need to manipulate or be manipulated.

In order to heal ourselves and our relationships, we must enter into the darkness of our unconscious and develop an honorable, respectful and loving relationship with the dark goddess in our midst.-Demetra George, Mysteries of the Dark Moon, Pg.114
I love the Dark Moon, the Dark Goddess, all things deep and dark. This is such an ideal day to dive inward. The New Moon is especially magical and potent with the Grand Cross spanning the four mutable signs: Gemini, Sagittarius, Virgo and Pisces around the 14 degree mark in Tropical. This creates what Jung would call the Quarternity. A special quad of the four elements: earth, air, fire and water. Psychologically it's certainly pulling us apart at the mutable seams and stretching us in all four polarities as far as our psyche's are flexible. You can feel the extreme creativity involved in such an influence as well as a potential to feel "all over the map" and totally spaced out and scattered if you're not centered. Look to where these four mutable signs fall in your horoscope to see where you are getting hit with maximum growth/magic/manifestation potential now.
The quaternity is an archetype of almost universal occurrence. It forms the logical basis for any whole judgement. Id one wishes to pass such a judgement, it must have this fourfold aspect. For instance, if you want to describe the horizon as a whole, you name the four quarters of heaven…There are always four elements, four prime qualities, four colours, four castes, four ways of spiritual development etc. So, too, there are four aspects of psychological orientation… In order to orient ourselves, we must have a function which ascertains that something is there (sensation); a second function which establishes what it is (thinking); a third function which states whether it suits us or not, whether we wish to accept it or not (feeling), and a fourth function which indicates where it came from and where it is going (intuition). When this has been done, there is nothing more to say… The ideal completeness is the circle or sphere, but its natural minimal division is a quaternity.” (Psychology and Religion West and East, Collected Works, Vol. 11, p. 167.)
Before the new cycle begins later tonight, we're at a significant inner crossroads of "Choice." Gemini rules choice and reconciling the opposites. Here we have four to reconcile and all the mutable, wandering energies are involved.
My favorite Dark Moon/Crossroads Goddess is Hekate. She resides in some of the deepest layers of our unconscious, and in many ways acts as a guardian over the unconscious and thus our dreams at night. We could say volumes about her amazing powers but that's for a future post. In terms of dream work under the Dark Moon, she is a wonderful reminder of how the feminine dwells in the deeps, with their beloved dog, in caves, temples, and highways at night. It's so interesting because I could not stop dancing to Mazzy Star's "Ghost on a Highway" today either which did not even occur to me to have the Hekate connection until this very moment when I quoted Demetra again. The energies around this particular Dark Moon, at least the way I've experienced them and the muses, seem to adore music! We can see this in the astrology. Neptune which rules dreams and music Just as I wrote that, I heard the fog horns outside. Dark Moons help us conned to the sacred feminine which prefers a slow, grounded, sensual pace. Rushing around frantically is not Dark Moon stuff. Don't bore or piss off the Goddess! Use this day to quiet the mind and reconnect with your body, dreams, journal and psyche in the most reverential and sacred manner possible.

Mercury is Direct in Taurus. Black Moon Lilith just went in Scorpio to evoke the Femme Fatale, the temptress and the witch within. Mars is getting ready to back into Scorpio, his home turf on Friday until August. Despite the seemingly light and airy Gemini vibes, the undertones are deep and dark. Tread carefully.
The Sun and Venus are in the airy, dual sign of Gemini reminding us that we always have choices. No one wants to be backed into a corner, and if pushed too far, don't be surprised if they fly. It's essential to remain focused yet flexible as we say goodbye to the crazy muck that was May.
May 23-29th 2016
Aries:
Everything is changing this week, Aries. Three major events to be exact. Number one: your ruling planet, Mars is backing up into your house of change and transformation. This is part two of a story that started to play out in January and February. It’s a rather fantastic opportunity for a major re-do around something that hasn't been working over the past few months. What could be better than a second chance? Plus, communication is about to dramatically improve thanks to the end of Mercury Retrograde (officially going direct last Sunday but give it a few days or weeks before you feel life getting back on track). The last big change is Venus sweetening up your zone of learning, communication and texting on Tuesday.
Taurus:
Communication is finally starting to improve now that Mercury is back on track. Having had the retro in your own sign for the past few weeks has been anything but glitch-free, Taurus. Now you can undo or repair all of the mishaps, misunderstandings and other miscommunication snafus that have turned your grounded little world upside down. Relationship dynamics could still be tricky if not fierce due to Mars backing up into your opposite sign of Scorpio this week. Think back to issues or contentions that were on the table back in January-February and ask yourself how you could do it better/differently this time around? Second chances are fabulous. Finally, your ruling planet, Venus is lighting up your money zone as of Tuesday. Expect some exciting new ideas and opportunities that can easily be converted into some cute cash over the next few weeks.
Gemini:
You’re totally in your element this week, Gem. The stars are aligning in your favor plus Mercury is slowly starting to move forward again. It may take a few days or weeks for life to get back on track in the communication and messaging departments, but at least there is a sense of forward movement. Plus, Mars is backing out of your relationship zone to make it easier to put your energy on work rather than arguing with your significants. You can now channel any aggression and frustration into your projects and daily rituals such as eating right and getting into tip-top shape. In fact, if you’ve fallen off the wagon with your workouts, now is the perfect week to get back on track. Best news of all, Venus enters your sign starting Tuesday to amp up the sweetness and cash potential.
Cancer:
Goodness is totally in big supply this week, Cancer. First things first, Mercury Retrograde is no longer. Yes, yes the days of losing everything from keys to cellphones and accidentally texting your boss instead of your lover are over! Plus, your creative and romantic life get a surge when Mars backs into your love zone starting on the 27th. Think back to themes that started last January-February and get ready for Part 2. Lastly, Venus is moving into your zone of retreat and long-distance travel on Tuesday inspiring you to escape the mundane and opt for the fantasy of your choice.
Leo:
Life is taking a sweet turn for the better this week, Leo. At the top of the list is the end of the headache known as Mercury Retrograde which had been wreaking havoc with some of your career plans and money over the past few weeks. In other news, Mars backs up into your domestic and family zone on the 27th. This is an excellent time to finally delve deep into your own psychology, especially around any subterranean anger issues. You can really get to the core and channel any frustrations into something radically constructive like a total home renovation project for instance. The beauty and love planet (Venus) is moving into your social zone starting on Tuesday to make for a positively gorgeous social life well into June.
Virgo:
Great news, Virgo: life is starting to move forward again and opportunities are opening back up. Yes, all bets are back on and you can safely start planning, plotting and making promises you can keep. There could be some residual kinks to work out, but at least life is back on track. That said, the Mars retrograde antics could stir up some old unfinished arguments or negotiations that stem back to earlier in the year. The upside is that you can finally come to resolution as long as you’re willing to fight for your bottom line. On a sweeter note, Venus will move into your career zone on Tuesday to bring some fabulous vibes to your status and money-making status.
Libra:
That muddy, stagnant feeling is finally giving way to possibility and future fabulousness. Life is finally moving forward after so much intense nostalgic backtracking over the last few weeks. The Mercury Retrograde is over and you can get back to clear thinking and plans that don’t have to be rearranged ten times. Your ruling planet (Venus) moves into your long-distance travel zone on Tuesday for the next few weeks. The awesome news is that it’s also now safe to lock down itineraries. Mars, the mojo planet is backing up into your money zone on the 27th. It’s a great time to channel your energy and drive into financial matters for the next month. If there’s any unfinished business from last January-February, now is the time to get your money matters tight.
Scorpio:
Big changes on demand this week, Scorpio. Your ruling planet (Mars) is retrograding back into your stars on the 27th. Think about the story that was playing out at the beginning of the year through the end of February. You’re about to encounter part two or a chance for a major redo of whatever felt incomplete. You might also be reconsidering where you want to put the majority of your energy in terms of relationships. At least thinking will soon get clearer as Mercury comes out of retrograde this week to counterbalance this energy. There’s definitely a sense of alteration in the air and a revamping of so many areas of life.
Sagittarius:
The planets are turning for the better this week, Sadge. For starters, Mars is leaving your stars which should take some of the pressure off relationships and that feeling that you can’t relax. The other biggie, is Mercury getting back into gear on the communication front. The recent stranglehold on daily life and scheduling is about to lift. No more feeling like you’re trudging through mud just to accomplish even simple things. This new phase promises forward movement and a new burst of fresh air in the relationship department. Plus, you’ll be feeling the love now that Venus is moving into your opposite stars.
Capricorn:
There are a lot of powerful planetary reversals taking place this week, Capricorn. Number one is the end of Mercury Retrograde in your love zone. Any recent misunderstandings with loved ones should feel less problematic or at the very least show promise for new resolutions now. You’ll also feel less stuck around love themes in general. The other big news is Mars, the mojo planet moving back into your house of long-term goals and social networking connections on the 27th. This is excellent for returning to themes and goals that you may have started at the beginning of the year. You’ll have another resurgence of energy around ambition now. Plus, Venus will sweeten up your daily life, wellness routines and work in general for the next few weeks.
Aquarius:
So much is shifting in the stars this week, Aquarius. After weeks of feeling rather stuck and stagnant, you’ll appreciate this sudden surge of fast-toward motion compliments of the end of the Mercury Retrograde. Plus, Mars is going to back up into your career zone to push you to the next level with your status. Rewind to themes that were prevalent at the start of the year. You now have the opportunity to take your professional goals to the next level. Your motivation to excel is sky high now. Venus, the love and beauty planet will move into your romance zone for the next few weeks.
Pisces:
This is a week where all is changing and heading in the right direction, Pisces. First, take a sigh of deep relief because the Mercury Retrograde is finished with your world of texting, talking and getting from A to B. You can now safely get around in the world without having to do everything twice to get it right. Plus, you’ve got Venus moving into your home zone this week to sweeten up your domestic scene and give you those feel good vibes all around. Mars is backing up into your travel zone to put the impetus on expansion and adventure. If you started plotted some fabulous trips back in January-February, you could finally see those dreams come to fruition over the next two months.
“If the doors of perception were cleansed every thing would appear to man as it is, Infinite. For man has closed himself up, till he sees all things thro' narrow chinks of his cavern.” ― William Blake
The Sagittarius in us wants it all and all at once. We're literally bridging heaven and hell under this Full Moon. The inner angels and demons duking it out! Which voice do you choose to listen to? The shadow side of Sagittarius is Gemini: The Choice. It's like this quote I read on a FB meme this week: "Was it a bad day, or a bad five minutes you milked all day?"
This Full Moon moves us from the Death archetype of Scorpio and her ash and ruins.... to the angelic and alchemical waters of Sagittarius, as depicted above in the Temperance archetype. It's not easy to balance the sacred and profane worlds without a messy mix that leads to all kinds of confusing projections and wanting humans to act like gods and vice versa. Our usual Sagittarian optimism and exuberance might feel hijacked by shadow, fears and insecurities yet dying to break free. And the brink to our next limitless expanse feels so close yet so far away.
The choice is ours!
You might have felt the intensity and pressure heightened earlier this week as the waxing moon met up with Lilith and opposed Uranus. There is a profound distillation taking place now incorporating everything we have been working on since Saturn went into Scorpio in the fall of 2012. The alchemists called the act of dialoguing with the gods of the unconscious (what we now call Jungian Active Imagination) "Meditatio"... this Full Moon is like one overpowering and involuntary "Meditatio" where the gods of our psyche are dying to dialogue and might resort to symbolic forms of "screaming" at us if we're not willing to listen to their needs, wants and messages. Pay close attention to signs, symbols, oracles and dreams that are begging for your attention now. Give reverence to the miracles and mentors in your life now. Where would we be without our angelic guides?
Cher's (the P40: Tarot: Icon for Taurus) Birthday on the Eve of the Full Moon with deep Taurus undertones
This Full Moon is especially potent as it's in a lockdown between Mars (closer to the earth than he has been in 10 years and thus totally grabbing at our psyches) and Saturn (Karma /Time Lord and Divine Scorekeeper) both retrograde in Sagittarius. Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter which is still in the magical, mutable earth sign of Virgo now moving closely with the North Node or Rahu. This in turn brings in the almost-finished Mercury Retrograde (Sunday is the finale) in the fixed earth sign of Taurus. Taurus is ruled by Venus also in Taurus thus giving our goddess the final word in the story. Tracing back the astrological-archetypal path to the source we see how important the Divine Feminine/Empress energy is behind this Full Moon. Thus there is a grounded, beautiful blossoming potential behind the seemingly formidable energy of this Full Moon. It's also called the Flower Moon, which feels connected to the Venusian garden of the Empress.

Prince: Diamonds and Pearls
Happy Mellow-Not Manic, Monday (Did you know Prince wrote that song?). The Moon is in a tryst with Saturn in Sagittarius. Mars is starting to dig his retrograde groove as he saunters back to Scorpio. Mercury is Stationing Retrograde in stubborn and sensual, Taurus. Life feels nostalgic and reflective. We're likely still processing the complex layers of last Friday's Full Moon in Scorpio and the loss of our beloved icon of sacred sexuality and everything right as Purple Rain.

Weekly 25th April to May 1 2016
Aries:
You’re ready to book your next adventure early in the week as travel lust beckons. The Full Moon fever from last week is still reverberating. Don’t jump too soon thought Aries, as another Mercury Retrograde is on deck this Thursday. Double check all itineraries and give yourself extra travel and transition time. If you’re planning to return to a place you’ve been before, you’ll have easier success. Keep a close watch on your finances over the next few weeks. You could easily miss important details or find yourself waiting on delayed checks and payments. Patience was never your virtue but it’s a must for your survival this week.
Taurus:
Look out, Taurus! Another Mercury Retrograde is heading your way in your very own sign in fact. If you’re feeling totally stuck in the mental mud this week, now you know why. It officially arrives on Thursday and will throw you into a backwards loop for weeks. You’ll be getting hit extra hard with Mercury’s usual tricks and treats in the communication department. Don’t take anything personally and double check everything you sign and send. If you need extra time for triple-proofing all of the details, do it. There’s no reason to feel rushed when you know how important it is to retrace all of your steps when chaos ensues.
Gemini:
Get ready for major communication mayhem this week, Gemini. It’s that time again when Mercury goes retrograde yet again to throw life off kilter (plus there are so many other retro planets to boot). You feel this influence more than most as Mercury is your guiding planet. It doesn’t have to be a time of sheer text message fiascos and technological torture. The positive part of this influence is your ability to slow down and see things in a way that you might normally be zipping along in your life too quickly to miss. Your intelligence is razor sharp and you are able to hear and comprehend things in a new way. If misunderstandings abound, take the time to clarify your original intention.
Cancer:
As if all we need is yet another planet going retrograde this month. Alas, Mercury Retrograde is on deck for this Thursday to join the fray. This means that technology and text messaging are a bit of a free for all for the next few weeks. Back things up, check your lists twice and retrace your steps on the daily, Cancer. You are also in the process of rethinking some of your long-term plans and collaborations. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. But if it’s been giving you headaches, now is the time to make the revisions or just cut your losses. The gift of the Mercury Retrograde is the ability to slow down, catch your breath and watch your mind.
Leo:
Did someone say Mercury Retrograde? You’re in the midst of rethinking everything right now, Leo. Your career is especially highlighted over the next few weeks. Thursday brings yet another pesky Retrograde phase and this time your professional zone is the target. This means you’ll be reworking and revamping your entire professional image and status. You’ll even be ready to tackle areas of your career where you had been stubbornly clinging to the known and resisting change. It’s time for a total brand makeover over the next few weeks. If you’re not feeing like a superstar, you’re most definitely on the wrong track. No more settling in the comfort zones.
Virgo:
Brace yourself, Virgo as another Mercury Retro is right around the corner. This Thursday marks a new phase of communication craziness. You’re the master at details but this week it’s all too easy for essential pieces of info to totally fall through the cracks. It’s not your fault, everyone else is a bit out of step as well making it hard to stay on top of endless mishaps. This particular Mercury Retrograde will be impacting your world of travel most of all, so if you’re planning any long-distance jaunts over the next few weeks, double check all plans and itineraries to make sure it all lines up. When in doubt have difficult conversations in person and not over email or text message.
Libra:
It’s an understatement to say you’re feeling all kinds of crazy energy in the air this week, Libra. Everyone seems to be losing their minds (and their phones). Mercury Retrograde is in full effect as of Thursday and communication and conversations get messy. The upside to this madness is the potential for radical change and transformation. You are able to see things that were previously hiding out in your blind spot. Once you see what needs a total makeover, the rest is history. If it’s not beautiful and sweet, it probably doesn’t belong in your life. Don’t feel guilty about being the one to cut the connection, especially if it’s become toxic.
Scorpio:
Get set for a week where everything seems to be moving backwards and upside down, Scorpio. Pay special attention to your relationship dynamics and don’t allow simple misunderstandings to escalate to a stubborn showdown. Do you want to be right at the loss of losing someone you love? The upcoming Mercury Retrograde falls in your opposite sign and thus will have heaps to teach you about your “other side.” You value loyalty above all and may feel like your partnerships are put to the test. Give whatever it is you want to get and then give some more. It’s the secret way to magically find the balance, Scorpio.
Sagittarius:
Ready yourself for a week of communication madness on all fronts, Sadge. Don’t be alarmed or take it personally if it feels like a thousand people are rescheduling on you all in the same week. It’s simply par for the chaotic Mercury Retrograde course. This one is hitting your zone of daily rituals, work and health. It’s an excellent time to rethink, revise and re-strategize your daily schedule. If your health is less than stellar, you may also want to rework some of your wellness routines and habits. A change of diet and sleep schedule for maximum grounding is an ideal way to rock this season’s Mercury Retrograde.
Capricorn:
Are you ready for another Mercury Retrograde ride, Capricorn? Just when you thought life couldn’t get any more twisted and backwards, along comes one more planetary influence to rock your world. April is one of the craziest months to be sure but you can’t say it’s lacking in action and adventure. You’ll actually welcome this week’s mental slowdown to get back in touch with the habits and routines you find most calming and grounding. Think of this as a week optimized for stress management and slowing down to a more peaceful pace. Why run yourself ragged just because everyone else think it’s normal to do so?
Aquarius:
Hit the pause button, Aquarius. You are oh-so ready for a major time out from life. You’ve been going at a crazy speed over the past several months and need time to just slow down and process it all. This week’s upcoming Mercury Retrograde at the base of your chart is the perfect excuse to settle down, relax and chill out at the deepest level. You want life simple, sweet and perfectly grounded. If speed or stress are involved, you can pass. A mellow tempo is totally what your soul is screaming for now so don’t ignore the call. You deserve a true break from the nonstop action.
Pisces:
Hang on Pisces, we’re heading for another crazy few weeks of communication testing and confusion. Yes, you can say compliments of yet another Mercury Retrograde as everyone hits the panic button. If you know what you’re in for, you can make the necessary adjustments like limiting your time on the phone, computer and text messaging. Conversations in person are way safer for the next few weeks. If you feel like the other person still isn’t getting you, agree to disagree and revisit the topic in May. Everyone is a bit out of focus and hearing words and meanings through a very stubborn filter now.
